Job summary

IntersectHC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate total nursing care, work with the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers to establish goals, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, supervise staff, and prepare daily and periodic reports.

The role requires current Michigan RN licensure, CPR certification, and prior experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to nursing in long-term care.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement intervention and develop care plans; accurately record observations.
• Make rounds with physician; monitor symptoms and responses to treatments and medications.
• Provide preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care.
• Administer medications and notify staff of contraindications.
• Coordinate scheduling of physicians, therapy, and consults; document in systems.
• Help CNAs with resident care and daily living activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed.
• Perform quality improvement activities as assigned by DON.
