Job summary

Intersect Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will assess residents, develop care plans, and supervise staff to ensure quality, compliant care.

You will administer medications, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with physicians, DON, and administrators to optimize health outcomes and documentation. Flexibility and strong clinical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to nursing in long-term care.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement interventions and develop Care Plans; document in PCC and follow Care Plans.
• Make rounds with physician; observe symptoms and responses to treatments; implement necessary interventions.
• Provide preventive, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care for residents.
• Administer medications per physician orders and facility policies; notify staff of contraindications.
• Coordinate with physicians, DON, and units for emergencies and care planning.
• Assist CNAs with personal resident care tasks and daily living activities.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments during condition changes and scheduled programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory surveys and completion of required reports.
