Job summary

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines and supervising staff as needed.

The role involves direct bedside care, hourly rounding, and evaluating the quality of nursing practice to achieve patient goals. A valid AZ RN license, CPR, and ACLS as applicable are required; L&D and NICU specialized credentials may be needed depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D: Advanced fetal monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
• NICU: Two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
• Licenses: Arizona RN license, CPR; ACLS as applicable by facility/department.
• ER/ICU/Endoscopy/Tele/Cardiac Lab/L&D: ACLS required upon orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs on admission and ongoing basis across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural and safety areas.
• Determine nursing diagnosis based on assessment and data analysis.
• Set outcome goals with patient input and guide patient toward goals.
• Individualize plan of care based on patient needs and procedural complexities.
• Implement nursing and medical orders appropriate to patient status.
• Other tasks assigned at the hospital.
