Job summary

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an assigned unit. The role coordinates care planning with other disciplines and may supervise staff, directing care per the nursing process.

The position involves hourly rounding, safety compliance, and potentially serving as shift lead. Required are an Arizona RN license, CPR, ACLS per department needs, and relevant certifications depending on unit.

Qualifications

Must have nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or obtain within six months.
Two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator (if applicable by unit).
License to practice as RN in Arizona; CPR; ACLS as applicable.
ER/ICU/Endoscopy/Tele/Cardiac Lab/L&D: ACLS on orientation; ER: PALS or ENPC within 90 days.
Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP on orientation.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety and discharge planning needs on admission and ongoing.
Determines nursing diagnosis based on assessment and data analysis.
Sets realistic patient-specific outcome goals using patient and family input.
Individualizes the plan of care based on patient needs and circumstances.
Implements nursing and medical orders and ensures appropriateness to current status.
Other tasks assigned at the hospital.
