Job summary

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinate care planning with disciplines, and supervise other healthcare staff. You will apply the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care, participate in hourly rounding, and ensure safety and quality.

Requirements include a nursing degree from an accredited school, State RN license in Arizona, ACLS/PALS as applicable, and NICU experience per facility standards.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
• Minimum Level II NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
• ER: ACLS/PALS required or must obtain within ninety days.
• Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required upon orientation completion.
• Wound/Ostomy training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety/risk and discharge planning needs on admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Determines nursing diagnosis based upon patient assessment and data analysis.
• Sets practical, realistic and appropriate patient population specific outcome goals, using patient and family input to guide care.
• Individualizes the plan of care based on patient needs and circumstantial/procedural complexities.
• Implements nursing and medical orders and ensures they are appropriate to the patient’s current status.
