Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Nursing role at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, IN, for weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun 7pm-7am). You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts in a critical care setting.

The position requires a nursing diploma and Indiana RN licensure; BLS within 30 days and ALS are preferred. Comprehensive benefits are offered and growth opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from Indiana Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Department/Specialty: Critical Care

Schedule: Weekend Option Night shift Will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, 7pm-7am.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
