Ascension is seeking a weekend option night shift Registered Nurse for the Critical Care department at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, IN. You will provide bedside nursing care Friday through Sunday nights, 7pm-7am, following established policies and collaborating with the care team.

The role emphasizes care coordination, discharge planning, and adherence to physician orders. Required BLS and Indiana RN licensure; ACLS preferred; Diploma in Nursing is required to start.

Competenze

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire, validated by AHA or ARC.
• Registered Nurse credential from Indiana Board of Nursing before hire date.
• ACLS preferred credential.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
