Ascension Health’s Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, IN seeks a Full Time Days RN to deliver expert perioperative care. You’ll work in the operative setting supporting preop, PACU and phase 2 with a team dedicated to patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes scrub and circulating responsibilities, instrument handling, patient positioning, and close collaboration with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures and swift recovery for patients.

Competenze

• Registered nurse with Indiana license prior to hire.
• ACLS within 6 months; BLS within 1 month.
• Operative/procedural nursing in OR setting.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

• Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.

• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.

• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.

• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• One or more of the following:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
