Job summary

Ascension Health at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in Carmel, IN is seeking an OR RN to join Ascension Premier Staffing - Surgical Services. The role offers multiple shifts and a 36-hour work week, with a gross rate up to $2,304 per week.

You’ll perform scrub and circulating duties, assist the surgeon, prepare rooms and instruments, and support patient care before, during, and after procedures. Licensure and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse required prior to hire date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date; BLS within 30 days.
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.

• Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• One or more of the following:

• Certified Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
