BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Joseph’s Hospital South. The role is full-time with varying shifts and requires in-hospital, in-person work.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license with a nursing degree and have 1 year of ER experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required to ensure high-quality patient care.

Formación

• RN license with nursing degree from an accredited program.
• 1 year ER nursing experience required.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
• ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA)

Responsabilidades

• Provide independent nursing care to a patient group in the ER.
• Delegate care tasks to health team members as appropriate.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes to the care team.

• Shift: Varies

• Every other weekend requirement

• On Call: No

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• 1-year registered nurse ER experience

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others

• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
