Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will work full-time, with 10:45 PM – 11:15 AM shifts and every other weekend, in person at St. Joseph's Hospital North, Lutz, FL. Join a team focused on excellent patient outcomes and professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or higher in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS certification through ARC or AHA.
• ACLS certification through AHA.
• PALS certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Organize and prioritize care plans in collaboration with patients, family and team.
• Identify patients at risk for injury and prepare room environment accordingly.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and assessments.
• Recognize sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s condition and respond appropriately.
• Assist in emergency situations for critically ill patients.
• Demonstrate strong communication to simplify medical concepts for patients and families.
• Maintain professional accountability and pursue ongoing development.

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association
