Job summary

BayCare's New Port Richey hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the ER team. You will deliver high-quality, compassionate care with a patient-centered approach, focusing on timely assessment and intervention.

This full-time RN role requires a valid nursing license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and relevant nursing education. The work is in-person with a night shift, every other weekend, and opportunities for training and career growth within a large Tampa Bay network.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a patient group in the ER using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health-care team members.
• Organize and update the care plan in collaboration with patients and families.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
