Job summary

BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER Mid Shift at St. Joseph’s Hospital South. You will deliver high-quality emergency care and collaborate with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include RN license, 1 year ER experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ACLS/PALS with American Heart Association. On-site, full-time role with every other weekend and strong mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current state licensure.
• ER experience: 1 year.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in hospital ER using nursing process.
• Delegate tasks to healthcare team as appropriate.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 2:45 PM - 3:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
