Job summary

BayCare Health System in Plant City, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (ER) to deliver compassionate, professional care in a fast-paced emergency department. The role requires active RN licensure and at least 1 year of ER experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.

This is a full-time, in-person position with on-site shifts and weekend requirements. The RN will use the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and ensure patient safety and comfort while managing acutely ill patients.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• Diploma/ASN/Bachelor in Nursing or higher.
• 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.
• Organize and prioritize care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Monitor patient vitals, assessments, and respond to changes in condition.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide high-quality patient care.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
