BayCare’s ER at St. Joseph's North in Lutz is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will care for patients in the emergency department, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold nursing standards throughout every shift.

This full-time night position runs 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend, in person only. BayCare offers comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) match, PTO, and strong

Qualifications

• RN license and nursing degree are required.
• 1 year ER nursing experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER using nursing process and standards.
• Collaborate with health care team to plan and implement patient care.
• Monitor vitals, document assessments, and respond to emergencies.
• Support patients and families, educate on care plans.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
