Job summary

Mission Point Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care to residents and coordinate total nursing care; ensure compliance with policies and regulations; communicate with and supervise appropriate personnel; and perform duties of a Certified Nurse Aide when required.

Responsibilities include assessing residents and developing care plans, administering medications as prescribed, regular rounds with physicians, and guiding CNAs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement intervention and develop Care Plans. Accurately record resident observations in PCC and follow through on Care Plans.
• Make regular rounds of residents with a physician; observe and evaluate resident symptoms, progress, and reactions to treatments and medications and implement interventions as necessary.
• Provide care to residents by performing a variety of treatments, including wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration.
• Administer medications to residents according to policies and physician orders; monitor for contraindications and report changes to nursing staff.
