Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts, ensuring quality and safety. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans while guiding LPNs, CNAs and other staff to maintain continuity of care for residents.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs, and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work to meet resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and participates in hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
