Job summary

Mission Point Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the day shift in Michigan. The RN will coordinate total nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting, work with the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and supervise appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, rounds with physicians, medication administration, reporting, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification is required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement intervention and develop Care Plans.
• Make rounds with physician; observe symptoms and progress.
• Provide preventive, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care.
• Administer medications and monitor for contraindications.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and scheduling of appointments.
• Monitor CNAs and assist with resident care.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as needed.
• Complete and report weekly, periodic, and discharge summaries.
