Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for night-shift, full-time in the Emergency department. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and manage patient journeys from admission to discharge, ensuring safe transitions.

Minimum requirements include ALCS, BLS, PALS, and TN RN license or compact-state recognition. Diploma in nursing required; Ascension offers growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months (180 days) of hire date.
• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• PALS within 6 months (180 days) of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current multi-state license (Compact State) before hire.

• Deliver direct nursing care following established clinical protocols to ensure safe, high-quality treatment tailored to patients.
• Lead coordination of care across medical disciplines, acting as central contact for a seamless patient experience.

• â Manage the full patient journey by implementing care plans and proactively coordinating discharge needs with the healthcare team to ensure a safe transition to the next stage of recover.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• â Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• â BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• â Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• â Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• â Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
