Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care team. You'll provide compassionate nursing care, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians and specialists to maintain safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of hire date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition (Compact State) prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care that supports patient safety, comfort, and positive health outcomes.
• Develop and manage individualized care plans, closely monitoring patient progress and adjusting care to meet changing needs.
• Communicate patient updates clearly with physicians and the care team to ensure timely decisions and seamless care delivery.
• Coordinate care across disciplines, bringing together providers, therapists, and support staff to create a smooth and effective patient experience.
• Guide discharge planning, helping patients and families transition safely from hospital to home or the next level of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
