Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for Cath Lab procedures. You will assess, prep, and position patients to ensure safety and comfort, while providing monitoring and conscious sedation under physician guidance.

Collaboration with families ensures smooth discharge and transition home. Responsibilities include active monitoring, real-time communication with physicians, and coordinating comprehensive discharge plans with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Tennessee RN license or multi-state Compact State license prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle patient care: assess, prepare, and position for procedures for safety and comfort.
• Provide active physiological monitoring and conscious sedation; communicate with physician for real-time stability during interventions.
• Coordinate discharge plans with families and healthcare team for safe home transition.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Manage the full cycle of patient care by assessing, preparing, and positioning individuals for procedures to ensure clinical safety and optimal comfort

• Provide active physiological monitoring and conscious sedation, serving as a critical line of communication between the patient and the physician to ensure real-time stability during interventions

• Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans by collaborating with families and the healthcare team to ensure a safe, informed transition from the clinical setting to home

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
