Job summary

Ascension in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab to manage patient care before, during, and after procedures. You will position patients, monitor vital signs, and maintain communication with physicians to ensure safety and comfort.

The role requires a nursing diploma, BLS and ACLS/STAY compliant ongoing education, and a Tennessee RN license (or multi-state Compact license). This is a full-time position with call requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date or transfer date required.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current multi-state Compact State license obtained prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Provide active monitoring and conscious sedation, serving as a critical communication link with the physician.
• Coordinate discharge plans with families and healthcare team for safe transition home.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Manage the full cycle of patient care by assessing, preparing, and positioning individuals for procedures to ensure clinical safety and optimal comfort


• Provide active physiological monitoring and conscious sedation, serving as a critical line of communication between the patient and the physician to ensure real-time stability during interventions


• Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans by collaborating with families and the healthcare team to ensure a safe, informed transition from the clinical setting to home

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition \"Compact State\" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
