Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Stones River in Woodbury, TN seeks a registered nurse to perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develop nursing care plans aligned with the master treatment plan.

You will participate in interdisciplinary treatment team conferences, implement care plans, and co-lead group therapy sessions while monitoring patient responses and updating plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire.
• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support acceptable within 1 month of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develops a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
