Job summary

Ascension is seeking an RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by following established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, document patient status, and act as a direct link in clinical decision-making.

You will also drive discharge planning in collaboration with the health-care team to ensure safe transitions. This role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and compassionate care in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required before start date.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.

• Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams, facilitating seamless communication and well-integrated treatment.
• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, serving as a critical link in the clinical decision-making process.
• Lead the discharge planning process in collaboration with the health-care team to ensure a safe and successful transition for every patient.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration
• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Approved Local Exception. For use with unique Union job requirements only. Remove if not for Union.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
