Ascension Saint Thomas Hickman in Centerville, TN seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Department on a PRN night shift.

You will expertly evaluate patient conditions, prioritize care, implement life-saving interventions, coordinate the trauma team, and educate patients and families during stressful emergencies.

Requirements include a Tennessee RN license, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma; PRN nights with competitive benefits.

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Provide clear, empathetic education and support to patients and families navigating the stress of an emergency visit.
• Coordinate urgent diagnostic testing and facilitate efficient admissions or discharge planning to maintain optimal department flow.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi‑state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
