Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neurology unit on the day shift. You will provide high-quality, compassionate care to stroke and medical-surgical patients, prioritizing safety and clinical excellence.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage discharge planning, and support patients and families as they regain independence and confidence in daily living activities.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Tennessee required before hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to stroke and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor real-time clinical changes to enable rapid interventions.
• Support patient independence by focusing on daily living milestones.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience
