Job summary

Ascension is seeking a registered nurse for the Behavioral Health department in Sparta, TN. The role focuses on conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and developing care plans aligned with the master treatment plan.

You will participate in treatment team conferences, implement the nursing plan of care, and co-lead group therapy sessions while continuously evaluating patient responses and collaborating with the team to adjust goals and interventions as needed.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develops a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
