Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN is seeking a dedicated nurse aide to support patients in the Behavioral Health department. You will assist with personal care, monitor vital signs, and report findings to nurses while providing compassionate, holistic support to patients during night shifts.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of relevant experience) and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Required licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education/experience.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
