Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist for Fairfield Hospital. You will perform screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA breast imaging, following ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines and supervising physician interpretation.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure patient safety, maintain equipment and records, and support quality initiatives. ARRT certification and state licensure are required or pursued where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state).
• BLS certification (required at hire for some locations; depends on location).

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Conveys patient's clinical history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment to achieve quality results.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during procedures and provides discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
