Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging (Mammo, DEXA) and support diagnostic procedures at our Richmond, VA imaging site. You will work under supervision to ensure high-quality images and patient safety.

ARRT registration is required, with preference for advanced Mammography credentials. The role involves collaboration with radiologists, adherence to MQSA standards, and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography (preferred)
• State Licensure (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for some locations; preferred at hire)

Responsibilities

• Perform all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assist radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Correlate clinical history with procedure and document for licensed provider.
• Operate breast imaging equipment and exposure factors.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
