Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, Ohio is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist for a PRN role. You will perform breast imaging and DEXA scans, following ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines and supporting supervising radiologists.

Responsibilities include assisting with invasive breast procedures, documenting clinical history, choosing imaging techniques, and ensuring patient safety. ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required, with ARRT Mammography registration preferred; state licensure

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Licensure: ARRT Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required).
• BLS required at hire for some Mercy Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment and exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during all procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
