Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Springfield, OH, is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging and DEXA procedures in a high-quality imaging lab. The technologist will support radiologists, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate documentation.

The role requires ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification, ARRT Mammography registration preferred or within 1 year, and BLS certification. Experience in mammography is preferred; EPIC EHR and PACS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from ARRT-accredited program (preferred).
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Mammography modality registration (preferred or within 1 year).
• State licensure (preferred).
• BLS certification (required at hire for some locations).
• 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and patient consent.
• Correlates patient history with procedure and documents for licensed provider.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects appropriate exposure factors.
• Applies radiation and patient safety principles throughout procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
