Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking aRegistered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging and DEXA procedures at The Jewish Hospital Medical Office Building. You will support radiologists, document clinical history, and apply radiation safety principles while delivering patient-centered care.

You must hold ARRT Diagnostic Radiology registration with mammography credentials; BLS is required, with state licensure preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT Diagnostics registration
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography preferred or within 1 year
• State Licensure preferred where required
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for some locations or prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists the radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and devices.
• Sets exposure factors for quality diagnostic images.
• Minimizes radiation exposure following safety principles.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
• Other duties as assigned
