Job summary

Mercy Health's Women’s Imaging Center seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA breast imaging in a high-quality workflow. The role follows ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines and supports supervising physicians with image interpretation backing.

Required ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification, with preferred advanced mammography registration or plan to obtain within 12 months; EPIC EHR and PACS experience are beneficial for patient data and image

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from ARRT-accredited program (preferred).
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced mammography modality registration preferred or on track to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging and DEXA as per protocols.
• Assist radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and informed consent.
• Correlate clinical history with procedures and document for licensed provider.
• Operate breast imaging equipment and adjust exposure factors for quality images.
• Apply radiation protection and patient safety principles throughout procedures.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
