Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging per ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines. You will assist radiologists, ensure proper consent, and document clinical history for licensed providers.

Qualifications include ARRT registration in Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography registration (preferred or within 1 year). EPIC/PACS experience is a plus, with strong patient communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

ARRT certification and registration in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
Advanced modality registration in Mammography is preferred or must be obtained within 1 year.
State licensure is preferred where the job is performed.
BLS from the American Heart Association is required at hire or prior to independent patient care at specific locations.

Responsibilities

Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and informed consent.
Conveys clinical history to licensed provider prior to examination.
Operates breast imaging equipment and selects exposure factors for quality images.
Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
Ensures patient safety throughout mammographic procedures.
Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
