Mercy Health Lorain Hospital seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging, DEXA scans and related procedures in line with ARRT, ACR and MQSA standards. You will coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure accurate patient exams and high quality images.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• Certification in Mammography/ARRT (preferred upon hire, or within six months).
• BLS certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Correlates patient history with procedure and communicates findings to provider.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects appropriate exposure factors.
• Maintains radiation safety and patient safety during procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
