Job summary

Mercy Health – Allen Medical Center is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist (PRN) in Diagnostic Imaging. You will perform breast imaging and DEXA scans, assist radiologists in procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of patient histories and images.

The role requires ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology, with advanced Mammography registration preferred or to be obtained within 1 year, plus state licensure preferred and BLS at hire where applicable.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology required
• Advanced mammography registration preferred or must obtain within 1 year
• State licensure preferred where required
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for some Mercy Health locations

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Selects imaging equipment and exposure factors to obtain high quality images.
• Adheres to radiation safety and patient safety protocols.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
