Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging and DEXA scans at St. Anne Hospital. You will work under ARRT guidelines, support the radiology team, and ensure patient safety and education throughout exams.

The role requires ARRT Diagnostic Radiology registration, Mammography credentials (preferred to obtain within 1 year), and related licensure. A year of experience is preferred; a collaborative, patient-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by state).
• BLS certification (required at hire for certain locations).

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and informed consent.
• Correlates clinical history with procedure and documents for licensed provider.
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment and devices.
• Sets radiographic exposure factors to produce quality images.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during all procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
