Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist for St. Anne Hospital in Toledo, OH. The role performs screening, diagnostic, and DEXA breast imaging in accordance with ARRT, MQSA, and ACR guidelines under supervising physicians.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists, documenting clinical history, ensuring patient safety, and participating in quality improvement. ARRT certification and BLS are required or obtained prior to hire in certain locations.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography (preferred or within 1 year)
• State licensure (preferred) and BLS CPR
• 1 year experience as a mammography technologist (preferred)
• EPIC/EHR and PACS familiarity (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Records patient history and documents it for provider review.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects appropriate exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection and patient safety principles.
• Educates patients and provides discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality improvement plans.
