Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging, including DEXA, per ARRT and MQSA standards. You will assist the radiologist, document histories, and ensure safety and quality across all breast procedures.

Responsibilities include patient education, teamwork with the radiology staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. ARRT certification is required with preferred advanced mammography registration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred.
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• Advanced Mammography registration preferred or to be obtained within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging and DEXA procedures according to protocols.
• Assist radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Document patient history and convey to the provider prior to examination.
• Operate breast imaging equipment and select proper technique exposure factors.
• Apply radiation safety controls and ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
