Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging, including DEXA, under ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines. The role supports imaging protocols, safety, and patient education across screening and diagnostic exams.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists in procedures, correlating clinical history, and maintaining accurate records. ARRT certification and state licensure are preferred, with training in EPIC and PACS systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred from ARRT-accredited program.
• ARRT diagnostic radiology certification/registration required.
• Mammography modality registration preferred or to be obtained within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred where required.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment and adjusts technique to obtain quality images.
• Ensures radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
