Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography is preferred or must be obtained within 1 year.
• State licensure is preferred, if required by the state.
• BLS Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all breast imaging and DEXA procedures per protocol.
• Assist radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Correlate clinical history with procedures and document for licensed providers.
• Operate breast imaging equipment and select exposure factors for quality images.
• Apply radiation protection and patient safety principles during procedures.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department quality improvement activities.
