Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform all screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA scans. The role follows ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines with collaboration from supervising physicians to deliver high-quality breast imaging.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists, documenting clinical histories, and ensuring patient safety and education. Requires ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification and at least 1 year of experience; BLS is preferred

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• Mammography advanced modality registration preferred or must obtain within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures and ensures aseptic technique.
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects appropriate exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure for patient and staff.
• Ensures patient safety during all procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
