Job summary

Mercy Health's Fairfield Hospital is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist for PRN coverage. The role focuses on high-quality breast imaging under ARRT/ACR/MQSA guidelines with DEXA capabilities.

You will support the radiology team, document patient history, and ensure safety throughout imaging procedures. The position requires ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology, preference for mammography certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Certification in Diagnostic Radiology by ARRT (required)
• 1 year experience as a mammography technologist preferred
• State licensure preferred unless required by state of work
• BLS from American Heart Association required on hire or prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Documents patient history and conveys information to licensed providers.
• Selects imaging equipment and exposure factors to produce diagnostic images.
• Maintains radiation safety and patient safety throughout procedures.
• Educates patients and provides discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
