Our services include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Marine Engineering; Land Surveying; Land Planning; Landscape Architecture; Geographic Information Systems; and Construction Administration.

We are seeking a motivated and driven Registered Land Surveyor in Smyrna, TN. Tennessee Registered Land Surveyor (PLS) registration is required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing and coordinating surveys and investigations of land surfaces, and preparing Topographic Maps, Boundary Adjustments, Subdivision Maps, Records of Survey, and Legal Descriptions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements, including boundary calculations and legal ownership issues.
  • Completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Advising the engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Being familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Land Surveying.
  • Using experience, knowledge, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals professionally.
  • Performing complex tasks related to Boundary and Topographic Surveying and Mapping.
  • Leading and directing field survey crews and technicians.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in Land Surveying, Subdivision Mapping, Topographic Mapping, and legal description writing.
  • Proficiency in Carlson Survey and GPS Equipment operation.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Tennessee Registered Land Surveyor license required.

Skills:
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM Friday.
  • Proven multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Client service orientation, self-starter, team player.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in environments with venomous snakes and insects.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Work in various temperatures and terrains.
  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
