Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Job Title: Registered Land Surveyor

Work Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in the interview

Relocation assistance or sign-on bonus available

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform land and/or construction surveying using conventional and GPS methods.
2. Have project management experience.
3. Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers.
4. Assist in all phases of facilities design, construction, repair, and modification projects.
5. Research record information, maintain field data records, survey project files, and indexing systems.
6. Interact with government clients regarding surveying, construction, and facilities design requirements.
7. Assist in civil site plan design, especially in drawing production using MicroStation CAD.
8. May act as Party Chief for field survey crews.

Education/Requirements:

1. Must be a Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Georgia.
2. Minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Terramodel, Survey software, and CADD software.
4. Knowledge of land surveying principles and practices in Georgia.
5. Good general knowledge of land surveying and field/construction practices.
6. Ability to assist engineers, designers, and staff members.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Valid driver’s license and insurable.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Work outdoors and indoors, possibly at construction sites, involving moderately strenuous tasks like lifting instruments up to 40 pounds, clearing vegetation, digging, and pounding stakes.
