Veolia Water Technologies in the United States seeks a traveling wastewater operations technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities. You will train local technicians, oversee compliant operations, and support new account start-ups while maintaining robust safety practices.

The role requires hands-on operation of wastewater treatment equipment, sample collection, data recording, and collaboration with the SWOT team to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good communication.
• 3+ years in wastewater operations.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and unplanned absences.
• Assist in the operational development of local technicians; provide training visits and develop materials.
• Ensure industry standards, lab testing, and SOPs are followed across facilities.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team; train newly hired technicians.
• Troubleshoot process issues and guide proactive decisions by local technicians.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate wastewater flow and treatment.
• Collect and test wastewater samples; record residuals, turbidity, and pressure.
• Comply with Veolia safety programs and regulatory requirements.
