Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Travel-focused Operational Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple water and wastewater facilities. You will train local technicians, support new account start-ups, and ensure compliance with safety and lab procedures while troubleshooting process issues.

The role requires extensive travel, including multi-week assignments, and collaboration with the SWOT team to develop operations tasks and goals.

Qualifications

Experience operating water and wastewater facilities.
Ability to train and mentor technicians in the region.
Willingness to travel extensively and cover vacations/absences.

Responsibilities

Maintain operational coverage across designated Veolia facilities during vacations and unplanned absences.
Develop training resources and conduct hands-on training visits at multiple sites.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, records, lab procedures and preventive maintenance.
Support new account start-up projects and collaborate with SWOT team.
Assist in troubleshooting process issues and recommend proactive solutions.
Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate water flow; collect and test samples.
Record-keeping of chemical residuals, turbidity, and pressure.
Coordinate maintenance with external partners as needed.
Provide guidance to technicians to operate facilities effectively.
