Job summary

Veolia is seeking a traveling Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities in the region. The role includes training local teams, maintaining plant operations, and ensuring compliance with industry practices.

You will operate pumps and valves, collect samples, test data, and implement process improvements to prevent non-compliance while supporting start-ups and new accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• Willingness to travel and work in multiple sites across the region.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities in your designated region during vacations and absences.
• Develop and deliver in-person hands-on training for local technicians and create electronic training materials.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are used across Veolia facilities in your region.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team and train newly hired technicians.
• Operate electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow into the wastewater plant.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and record concentration levels.
• Analyze lab data and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance.
