Job summary

Veolia is seeking a traveling Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple wastewater facilities in the region. You will train local technicians, ensure compliance with procedures, and assist in start-up projects for new accounts.

The role requires coordinating with senior teams, performing sampling and testing, and maintaining accurate records. Travel may be extensive and vary by assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple sites across region.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia-operated facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians through on-site visits and training materials.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards for records, lab testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Support new account start-ups with task development and technician training.
• Troubleshoot process issues and guide proactive decisions by technicians.
• Operate and monitor pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and document data for compliance.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule external services.
• Prepare data and reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
